Work continued in the north end of trench 2D.

A terracotta palmette was found at 1.20 m depth, 1.80 m from the east wall, 1.90 m from the north (Find #16).  A spindle whorl was found at 1.45 m depth, 0.90 m from the east wall and 2.45 m from the north (Find #17).

The following architectural fragments were also found: 2 pieces of cornice; 2 pieces of horse race frieze, one of them showing the upper part of a jockey; 2 similar pieces of the lower left-hand corner of the campstool frieze; and a piece of procession frieze with guilloche and part of a biga preserved.

The lower part of a feline waterspout was found at 1.63 m depth, 0.20 m from the east wall and 3.16 m from the north (later designated 19680232 ).

A heavy terracotta fragment was found in the north wall at 1.45 m depth, 1.85 m from the east wall, and was designated as Find #18.

A fragment of cat's head antefix with the ears, eyes, and nose preserved was found

at 1.60 m depth, 0.30 m from the east wall and 2.20 m from the north wall.  Find #19.

A small stone disk of about 0.75 m diameter with a hole in the center was found at 1.59 m depth, 0.40 m from the east wall and 2.28 m from the north wall.  Find #20.

A fairly well preserved gorgon head showing the hair on both sides but broken on top was found at 1.70 m depth, 1.80 m from the east wall and 1.20 m from the north.  Find #21.

The following architectural fragments were also found:  a fragment of lateral sima with cornice; a piece of campstool frieze (lower right-hand corner); a very well-preserved fragment of banquet frieze (lower left-hand corner, designated Find #26); a few pieces of cornice; and 3 unidentifiable terracotta fragments.

A few sherds were also found, among which a fragment of pithos rim, the base of a grey impasto vase, a light handle of grey impasto, and a good number of fragments from a bowl.
