26 July 2022 AM: The morning began with a pick pass in Locus 10. The soil is brown and compact clay with frequent inclusions of tile, plaster, and pottery and less frequent inclusions of bone and limestone. SF 71 Locus 10 173.92E/59.52S 26.77m AE Knuckle bone SF 72 Locus 10 173.36E/59.57S 26.75m AE Diagnostic bone SF 73 Locus 10 173.33E/59S 26.74m AE Slipped pottery fragment Pick passes in Locus 10 continued through the morning. Inclusions were consistent, with pottery being particularly frequent, including coarse ware, impasto, and fine ware. As the locus was lowered, it was revealed that the bedrock shelf, which appears south of locus 5 continues to the west into Locus 10, and through Locus 10 west to T22 (2019). PM: The afternoon began with a pick pass in Locus 10. The soil was hand sorted into buckets. It was compact dark brown clay with frequent inclusions of tile, plaster, pottery, and stone. Some bone was also present.
