25 July 2022 AM: As the stones of Locus 8 had been removed last week in its southern half and the deposit beneath begun to produce increased inclusions of plaster, pottery, and bone, Locus 8 was closed in its entirety and the deposit beneath the stones in the southern half was opened as Locus 10. Closing photos and elevations were taken of Locus 8. Elevations (Locus 8 closing): NW: 26.97m AE 173E/56S NE: 27.09m AE 174E/56S SE: 26.83m AE 174E/60S SW: 26.85m AE 173E/60S Locus 10 was opened as a rectangular 1m x 1.65m deposit of medium brown compact clay with frequent inclusions of tile, plaster, pottery, and bone. The soil was hand sorted into buckets. There were inclusions of tile, plaster, pottery, and bone. Bronze slag was also recovered.
