The presence of a few pieces of vitrified terracotta implies intense burning and it's possible connection to metal production. The only loci to contain vitrified terracotta fragments were locus 2 and 6 , with a total weight of 20 g.

Vitrified terracotta is a result of terracotta being refired at extreme temperatures. While it is impossible to say under what circumstances the CA terracotta was vitrified, the presence of slag and crucible fragments implies that metal production may have been taking place in the vicinity of CA.
