Locus 1 was opened as topsoil, dark brown, dense root layer.  Very worn terracotta tile fragments, presumably washout from workshop or archaic building.

Terracotta: 2 latte boxes

Plaster: 14 pieces

Pottery: 13 pieces

Lots of small rocks (10-20cm) were removed; they appear washed down.
