Work took place in T-18.

P.M.

The cut in B-C/68-70 was continued to a depth of ca. 90 to 100cm. The soil in meters B-C/68-69 was light to bright yellow in color, very powdery in consitency and contained many small rocks. No material was found in this yellow soil. A sample of this yellow soil was taken down to the magazzino. The soil in meters B-C/70 was light grey in color, also powdery in consitency, with mant small stones. No material was discovered in the light grey soil.

A cut was begun in D-E/68-70 to a depth of ca. 100 to 110cm.

The soil was dark brown in color and contained a high concentration of small pieces of disintegrated plaster and carbon chunks.  One box of mixed pottery, including some burned pieces, was discovered.  The majority of this pottery was encountered in meter E/68.  One half cassetta of tile, including some large, well preserved covertile fragments, was also discovered in this meter.
