The large rocks remaining from the rock pack in F/68-70 were removed.  A few, small pieces of tile were found beneath the rocks.  The floor of the trench in meters E-F/68-70 was then cleared down to a uniform level of ca. 1.15 meters.  At this depth the rock pack began to dissappear and now only a few, small rocks are visible at the base of the trench.  The soil in E-F/68-70 was dark brown in color and contained samll concentrations of disintegrated plaster and carbon chunks.  One quarter cassetta of mixed tile and plaster (80% tile, 20% plaster) and a few pieces of coarse pottery were discovered.

The cut in G-H/68-70 was taken down to a depth of ca. 50-55cm.  Several large rocks were removed from the cut.

The majority of these rocks were found in meters G/68-70 and formed the southern extension of the rock pack previously encountered in meters E-F/68-70.  The soil in the cut was dark brown in color and contained a small amount of disintegrated plaster.  One half of a cassetta of tile and a few pieces of coarse pottery were found in the cut.

The cut in A-B/68-70 was extended to a uniform depth of ca. 70-75cm to form a single terrace.  A large stump extending through B/69-70 prevented complete excavation of these meters.  The soil in the cut was light brown in color, very loose in consistency and contained heavy concentrations of yellow and white disintegrated plaster.  Starting at a depth of ca. 70cm, the soil became yellow-grey in color.  Only a few, small and worn pieces of tile were found in the cut.

A cut was begun in A-B/68-70 to a depth of ca. 80-85cm.  The soil was yellow-grey in color and very loose in substance.  The same soil was previously encountered at a relatively similar depth in meters C-D/68-70.  No material was discovered in the yellow-grey soil.

The stump in B/69-70 was cleared down.  The soil in the stump was dark brown in color and contained a few pieces of worn tile.

A cut was begun in G-H/68-70 to a depth of ca. 65cm.  The soil was dark brown in color and contained some small rocks.  One quarter cassetta of small pieces of worn tile were found in the cut.  No pottery was discovered.

The base of the tree in meters F-G/68 was shoved down.  The soil beneath the tree was dark brown in color

and contained a large concentration of small rocks.  One quarter cassetta of worn tile was removed from among the tree roots.
