Bone Summary
Without expert analysis of animal types, the bone summary will be restricted to a few brief comments. All bone was saved. Bone in upper strata were combined in one loose assortment and not analysed further. Bone in lower strata, and in all cases that material from the "burn layer," were kept separated by their meter designations. These separate bags were then incorporated into the larger assortment.
Bone was found in large concentrations in the "burn layer" and areas adjacent horizontally and vertically. Most of this bone was from large animals, but some finer bone was also found. Much of the larger bone was of jaw and (apparently) some lip/shoulder-leg pieces. This may be very significant in terms of possible animal parts thus represented and their potential useage by a bone working crafts industry.
