1.    Finished 10 cm cut in M-O/69 (55-65 b.s.)  Soil was medium brown with fairly frequent occurence of charcoal.  Again not an ashen soil as encountered in M-O/71.  Also, bronze was nearly nonexistent.  No significant contextual relationships between tile and pottery fragments discovered.  Of note is an increase in finds of pottery and tile as well as other "finds" over area M-O/70.  This includes plaster.  1 1/2 dozen unworked bone fragments.

2.    Initiated 10 cm cut in M-O/71.  Soil remains a medium to medium light brown with pockets of ashen black material with charcoal.  Particularly in O/71-70 there is a heavy concentration of very dark soil - but it does not seem to define a feature.

As cut is extended into M-O/70, the heavily burnt soil is increasingly evident.  Typical matrix is dark brown soil with inclusions of black charcoal, orange-yellow plaster, small pebbles occassional pottery.

Continued 10 cm cut into meters M-O/70.  Soil remains medium to dark matrix supporting various quantities of charcoal and some pockets of greyish soil - either ashen mixture or potentially decomposed limestone pack.  Several large pithos frags were located in M/69.  Pottery and tile finds at this depth in M-O/71/70 is less than at M-O/19 in previous cut.  Collected more of those cylidrical \'ivory\' as \'finded\' on NM II, pp. 37 .  Other notes for the day would be that metal finds have depreciated very much.
