Civitate B3

About 20 meters west of B2 and towards the top of the hill.  2x3.5, NS.  Tiles were heavier, perhaps half a box, but bedrock was reached at 25-40 cm.

Civitate B4

About 24 meters west of B3.  2x3.5 NS.  Tiles were virtually non-existant under the surface and virgin soil was reached at 25 cm.

Civitate B5

Perhaps 35 meters southwest of B4.  2x3.5, NS.  Tiles light, virgin soil at 25 cm.

Large outcrops of bedrock made further advance to the top of the hill impractical, and the area was abandoned for the time being.
