The eastern side of the (K/82) stump in K/83 was taken down to trench floor level, roughly 95 cm.  Much tile and plaster was found here, as well as pottery and bronze.  Cleaning around the stump of the western side produced another sling stone.  The stump was removed.  Earth within and below it produced rocchetti and large quantities of pottery.  The grey-black burn layer below the stump, produced a lot of bone - as other areas of the burn layer have in the past.  4 1/2 latte boxes of pottery and 4 cassette of tile and plaster were found.
