The 20 cm cut was continued in K/17-18 bringing the area down to 60 cm. Heavy roots and rocks in K/18 made it necessary to work with hand tools for the majority of the morning. 1/2 box of pottery and a minimal amount of tile fragments were recovered in K/18, while K/17 yielded 1 1/2 boxes of mixed bucchero, impasto, and bone.

The soil in these two meters remains loose and brown, however carbon became quite frequent K/17. This carbon seemed to concentrate around a forno found in K/17 at 52-60 cm. Finds for the morning included 2 pieces of moulded bucchero, the forno fragments, and a piece of slag.
