Completed topsoil cut in meters J-K-L/16-17-18 to a depth of 40 cm from the existing groundline. The soil is dark brown with flecks of carbon. There is a heavy rock concentration. Pockets of gray clay-like soil were found throughout the cut. This cut exposed large rocks which were left in place and swept down. 1/2 box of mixed pottery and bone was fond. The pottery included a large amount of bucchero. 3/4 cassette of tile fragments were found and discarded.
A second cut of 20 cm was begun in J-K/17-18. The soil color remained the same, but there were frequent bits of carbonized material. 1/3 box of pottery was found and 1/4 cassette of large tile fragments. An upper building lateral sima rosette was found in K/18 at 63 cm.
