A.M.

tile = 3/4 cass.

pottery = 2 frags

20 cm cut in meters M-O/70 completed.  Soil is dark brown w/ infrequent pebble to fist sized stones, and is laced with roots, particularly M/70.  Tiles are mixed pan and cover, badly worn of small size and randomly placed in soil.  4 bone frags.

P.M.

tile = 3/4 cassetta

pottery = 12 frags

Finished up cut in M-O/70 to level c. 30 cms below surface.  This cut terminates at a soild change from dark brown sub-surface soil to a light brown/orange soil.  Find as before, with some bone (6 pieces) and one palm sized pithos frag.
