We began with closing elevations for Locus 6, Extension 2.

Closing elevations for Locus 6 are opening elevations for Locus 7 (Extension 2).
While we waited for the camera for (closing photos of Locus 6) opening of Locus 7, we continued to define rocks in Extension (1) and to level the southern portion of Extension (1).

Special find #3 Medieval pottery sherd. Locus 7. 154.70E;94.51S 22.63 m AE
First pickpass in Extension (2). After sifting soil is loosly packed and there is fair amouint of terracotta. No bone and little pottery recovered so far.
A second pickpass was made in the second extension. Soil was scraped and troweled. No changes in soil color or texture.

A third pickpass was made in Extension (2).
While removing parts of the atump (stump a, Page 97) from Extension 1, a piece of modern tile was found in the stump.

In the third pickpass, burnt soil was detected (in the second extension). Five nails were placed aoround the soil to obatin coordinates and elevations.

After sifting through third pickpass, soil was rough and course like in main trench and first extension. There were many rocks during all of the pickpasses in all of the pickpasses thus far.
Fourth pickpass. More pottery and bone as we are going down.
The soil is mantaining its greyish claylike consistency in the second extension. We still have not quite reached the same level as the main trench and first extension.
Another modern tile was found in stump b (see page 97).
We also worked on removing stumps in the southern part of Extension (1): A (which will take some time) b, c, d, (see page 97).
