Slag Summary

All slag recovered throughout the course of excavation occurred within Loci 1 - 3 , with the majority of slag having come from Locus 1 . Locus 3 produced the heaviest fragments of slag overall, with 1.6 grams. Regarding metallic content, Locus 1 slag consisted of one .9g metal fragment and one .2 non-metallic fragment. The .1g fragment of Locus 2 was non-metallic, and the 1.6g fragment of Locus 3 was metallic.

As Loci 1 - 3 are potentially decontextualized contexts, the presence of the slag recovered in CB-61 is likely erosional runoff from CA and the Piano del Tesoro.
