Excavation was continued in meters D-F/78-79, extending the depth of the trench in this area to ca. 155-160cm. The soil in meters D-E/78-79 consisted of clean galestra and produced no material. The soil in meters F/78-79, however, remained grey-brown in color. One half of a cassetta of worn tile and a few impasto sherds were discovered in the grey brown soil.

P.M.

Work was discontinued due to rain.
