A pick pass was done in the southern most meter of the trench. While this was being picked the northern baulk wall was trimmed. The soil was shoveled and sorted at the wheelbarrow. Rocks and terracotta was recovered. The terracotta is still worn, although some pieces are less worn. While shoveling a piece of slipped pottery was found (SF #1).

The northern most meter was picked again. Soil was shoveled into buckets and sorted. While picking a bronze pin fragment was found (SF #2).

The next meter south (50-51 S) was picked. Soil was shoveled and sorted at the wheelbarrow. Worn bits of terracotta were recovered. The next meter (51-52 S) was picked and shoveled. Some of the terracotta being unearthed are larger but still worn and eroded.

The final meter in the trench was picked and shoveled. Worn terracotta and rocks were recovered. A piece of medieval tile was found and counted in the tile bowl. Picking commenced again in the northern meter. The soil remains the same yellow-brown color with a clay-like consistency. Tile and rocks were uncovered, roots were trimmed. The next meter south was picked and shoveled and sorted. Tile, rocks, and pottery was found. The next meter south (51-52 S) was picked and shoveled. The final meter of the trench was picked. Soil was shoveled, worn terracotta and pottery was recovered. For the end of the week the floor of the trench was scraped to remove the rest of the loose soil and any of the high spots left from picking. While scraping a piece of slag was found (SF #3).

The northern baulk wall was trimmed, the finds from here will be counted with locus 5. The western baulk between CB 55 and 54 was also trimmed, but this material will be counted as baulk trim finds. The ridge between CB 54 and 57 was also leveled and finds counted with locus 5. The stump on the western baulk was trimmed and clipped.

While trimming the western baulk a piece of worked chert was found (SF #4).
