Description Locus 5 is across the entire floor of the trench. It is a yellowish brown clay-like soil, similar to loci 2,3, and 4. It contains some small rocks scattered throughout the trench, but in no concentration as they had been loci 2 and 3. There is a greater increase in material recovery from the previous loci. Most of the tile and ceramic is worn from erosion. The material is decontextualized since archaic architectural fragments, such as 20120023, 20120009, and 20120029, were found along with medieval tile fragments.

Editorial Note

Open Context editors work with data contributors to annotate datasets to shared vocabularies, ontologies, and other standards using 'Linked Open Data' (LOD) methods.

The annotations presented above approximate some of the meaning in this contributed data record to concepts defined in shared standards. These annotations are provided to help make datasets easier to understand and use with other datasets.
