Work continued in trench 2F. In the western and south western parts of the trench galestra was reached at a depth of 0.25m; below and east of it, in the central part of the trench, bedrock appeared at a depth of 0.65m; the galestra was not excavcated. Work today was done in the northern section.

Work also continued in trenches 2A west, 2C, and 2E, excavating the soil below the stones which had been removed. In the center of trench 2E, at the eastern side, a piece of "campstool" frieze was found, preserving the lower left corner, in fairly good condition.

In trench 2C, under the stones, several pieces of lateral sima were found: two fragments of cavetto modling, and one lower right corner, with flat sides on three planes.

Also found in 2C, but not listed as finds, were a piece of "campstool" frieze, with guilloche and bottom of throne, and one of horserace frieze, with cavetto molding and trophy (upper left corner).

A larger section of horserace frieze, with guilloche, all of the second horse and the head of the third, and with studs, but no cavetto molding at the top, was found (2C, under stones) of a depth of 1.30m, 2.75m from the north end of 2C, and 2.60m from the west side of 2E (Find # 12).

A terracotta fragment, with a human ear, life-size, was found in trench 2C, at a depth of 1.50m, 3.15m from the north end and 3.15m from the west wall of 2E (Find # 13).

In trench 2E, a large pot-handle, with a round, flat section of pot attached, was found at a depth of 1.50m, 3.20m from the north end, and 1.36m from the west (Find # 21). Just above this, and a few cm to the west, a quarter of a pan tile of distinctive type was found, with two semicircular projections along the preserved part of the end (Find # 22).

A sample of carbon was found in trench 2E, at depth about 1.0m, about 2.5m from the north end.
