Description | A frieze plaque fragment that preserves three dentils and part of a frieze plaque scene. One of the dentils is partial and the other two are complete. The scene preserves a thin, upward curving line with a small bulb on top and two raised circular shapes. Based on the shaft with a bulb the scene could either be from the banquet or the seated figures scene. The location of the dentils and the flowered bulb indicate the scene comes from the seated figures frieze plaque. However, there is a small raised object below the shaft with the bulb that is not present in the seated figure scene. |
