Condition Surfaces are pitted, worn, and encrusted. Large inclusions are visible throughout the fabric. The piece is comprised of three fragments rejoined during conservation. Fresh abrasions from modern excavation methods. All edges are ancient breaks.
Fabric Description Terracotta
Munsell Color 5 YR 5/6 yellowish red
Description Lateral sima fragment preserves a complete rosette above partial strigils, and a small portion of the plaque next to the rosette. The rosette preserves the central knob and eight petals, all finger-incised. The rosette backer is thick and partially preserved. Two partial strigils are preserved with a max. pres. height of 0.030 m. The back surface is finished.
