Section A
The area of the SE corner of the room was taken down to the pavement level. Found:
1. Procession frieze fragments
2. bronze handle, prbably of a cup, 1.7m from EW crosswall & 5.5m from western NS wall.
3. 2 boxes of tiles
- find 3
- bronze nail head
Section B
Fill was removed to just above the tile layer in the northern 3rd of the section. Mud bricks could be seen in the fill profile.
Found: some bits of bronze, 6 boxes of tiles & some pottery, including half of a rocchetto
The tile layer in the southern 3rd of the section was lifted & taken down to the floor level. Found:
1. fragments of another procession plaque
2. a small bronze piece - a lump of bronze
3. some oddly shaped pieces
4. the usual pottery
5. very heavy tiles - 18 boxes
