Excavation continued in locus 6 . The entire trench was lowered approximately 5 cm. There is a moderate quantity of stones scattered throughout the trench ranging from fist size to approximately 30 X 20 X 10 cm. The soil is more highly mottled in the western sector than in the eastern sector. Approximately 2 bowls (24 cm. in diameter, 7 cm. in depth) of terracotta fragments mixed with plaster were recovered. Approximately 3 latte boxes of pottery sherds and 1/2 latte box of bone fragments were found. One small piece of bulk bronze was found. The plaster fragment described in yesterday's entry is in all likelihood a piece of a terracotta brick and is now made a special find (#2) for today. Five other special finds were made (#1: Sherd with slip decoration; #3: Sherd with slip; #4: Sherd with bands of slip; #5: Spindle whorl fragment; #6: Wing-cup handle fragment).
