1998 Introduction

Excavations in South Flank are to be continued in the 1998 season.  The purpose of these excavations is to further reveal the orientalizing floor level of the OC3 structure in hopes of recovering more diagnostic materials that can assist in dating the structure and in defining the function of the building.

This year's work will focus in the area immediately north of last year's excavations -- or in other terms, the north half of R14.

For further information on this area, see AMC V and the previous pages of AMC VII .
