The morning began with a pick pass in the third meter of the trench in order to lower that area of the trench. Additionally, work in that area will focus on exposing the yellowish-brown clay-like soil that has begun appearing in the northern half of the trench. Currently the soil in that area is a dark-brown layer dense with organic material, with small fist-sized rocks scattered throughout the trench. The soil was hand sorted into buckets using hand picks and trowels. Small concentrations of terra cotta and pottery have been recovered.
A pick pass occurred in the southernmost meter of the trench in order to further expose the yellowish-brown clay-like soil that is now present in the rest of the trench. After clearing it was decided to focus on trimming the baulk walls and leveling the trench so that photographs can be taken and Locus 2 can be declared.
Once the soil was cleared and roots were clipped photographs were taken and Locus 2 was declared open.
The opening elevations of Locus 2 are as follows:
NW Corner (102E/48S): 26.90 m AE
NE Corner (104E/44S): 26.91 m AE
SE Corner (104E/48S): 26.60 m AE
SW Corner (102E/48S): 26.60 m AE
Locus 2 extends across the entire trench and consists of a yellowish-brown, clay-like soil. Additionally, the three stumps that were present in Locus 1 remain in Locus 2 , though portions of them have been removed. Moreover, the rock from Locus 1 remains as well, in addition to eight other rocks that were exposed during excavation.

The afternoon began with a pick pass in the third meter of the trench in order to lower some of the small mounds in that area. Soil was hand sorted into buckets using hand picks and trowels.
A pick pass was executed in the southernmost meter of the trench in order to lower the level of the trench. Thus far, small concentrations of terra cotta have been found.
Part of the stump in the southernmost meter was removed. The remaining soil was cleared, roots were clipped and closing elevations were taken.
Closing Elevations:
NW Corner: 26.90 m AE
NE Corner: 26.90 m AE
SE Corner: 26.51 m AE
SW Corner: 26.37 m AE
