Condition | Broken away from fascia, with part of fascia remaining. Approximately one-third of lower portion of fangs missing, remainder composed of four fragments. Much abraded and encrusted. |
Description | Fragment preserves better part of feline water spout broken from lateral sima. Spout has small bulging eyes and brows which slant sharply downward toward center to meet at and merge into short very bulbous nose. Nose has two finger-impressed nostrils. Interior of spout very uneven with finger-marks (?). Spout irregularly modeled. |
Fabric Description | Murlo teracotta, fired orange on exterior, grayish-buff at core. Coarse clay with very large particles of stone and mica. |
