Surface exploration methods | Site was identified during a surface walkover with a crew of 6. The crew space was approximately 5-10 meters apart. This distance was reduced to 1-2 meter spacing when a site was found. Pin flags were used to mark the cultural material and to define site boundaries. Systematic shovel testing at 15 meter intervals was completed in the widow row and wooded areas. |
