Stratigraphy remarks Locus 2 = Locus 3, initially divided based on observation of high density of pottery in northern area of square. Determined that a similar density existed in the rest of the square, just at a slightly lower elevation, which is perhaps expected based on the N-S slope of the square itself.
Reason 1 m X 5 m semi-arbitrary division of northernmost meter of square based on observation of dense pottery concentration in this area.
End date 2010-07-19
Supervisor N. Oakden
Function Locus 2 participates in the general Locus 2&3 high density deposit of pottery and stones, thought to be a result of deliberate clearing of the top of the tell for agricultural purposes.
