Description | A shaped fragment of terracotta, possibly a fragment of terracotta female antefix. The fragment has two finished faces and a rounded finished edge. One face is very gently convex, while the opposite face widens away from the finished edge, eventually lipping upwards towards some unknown, unpreserved element. Preserves evidence of a red slip on both faces, but not on the finished edge. If this fragment represents an element of the terracotta female antefix, it would be a portion of the figure's chin. |
