Description Locus 7 is a two meter by three meter extension off of the northern wall of the main trench. Locus 7 is a dark brown humus layer with organic material including leaves, grass, and roots. It is also intermixed with terracotta and a small amount of small stones. Also, medieval pottery was found in Locus 7. Within approximately 10 centimeters of dropping Locus 7 soil, a soil change became apparent and Locus 7 was closed.
