| Description | A fragment of bone sawn in antiquity into two pieces. Fragment A preserves a portion of bone shaft which widens gradually towards a broken terminal. At the opposite end of the shaft the bone is cut, probably by saw, transversely through the shaft leaving a mostly smooth but not perfectly flat edge. Fragment B preserves a portion of bone shaft which widens gradually towards a forked terminal with some ancient chipping. At the opposite end of the shaft the bone is cut, probably by saw, transversely through the shaft leaving a mostly smooth but not perfectly flat edge. Fragment A and Fragment B join to one another along their sawn edges (but have not been consolidated). |
