Condition Fragment A has a portion of finished rim, but otherwise it and all other fragments have ancient break edges. Fragments are associated but have no joins. All fragments are worn, pitted, and encrusted. Fragment A has several modern scratches from excavation. Fragment D is consolidated from three pieces.
Description Fragment A is a rim fragment of a coarseware vessel. The interior face, exterior face, and rim are all finished. The body exterior is curved convexly into the rim which carinates and turns to project away from the vessel interior at an almost ninety degree angle. Just below the point of carination on the exterior, and about 0.03316m from the top edge of the rim, a small ridge runs the width of the preserved portion, roughly parallel to the horizontal curve of the rim. The rim profile is flaring, increasing in width from the point of carination to the finished rim edge. The interior of the vessel is concave with a carination to convexity 0.02680m below the top edge of the rim. All other fragments (B-G) have a concave finished interior, convex finished exterior, and no finished edges. Fragment E is roughly triangular and has a carination which causes one edge of the triangle shape of the exterior to be convex, while the corresponding edge of the interior is concave at a slightly greater than ninety degree angle. There are no joins between an of the fragments, but they are all associated.
