Description | Fill of in situ plaster vessel, all from flotation. Sample 1 >4mm flotation 100% sorted, recorded completely. This surrounded the cluster of contents, 13909. It seems to contain some items from the cluster: several astragali, one with articulating calcaneus, and perhaps a biggish but rather miscellaneous fragment of cattle scapula, and a certain amount of what is probably background noise from the fill. There are six more sheep/goat astragali here, two worked, one digested, one perinatal. Most of the astragali and the calcaneus are very salty, probably from the plaster of the container. A bit of amphibian microfauna. |
