Trench VT17
Description Locus 5 is a feature. It comprises three to four limestone stones running roughly north-south in the eastern most part of VT17. It has a series of tiles packed on two of the stones - akin to a collapse. The tiles were removed and were a mixture of ancient and medieval. Furthermore, five fragments of a later, possibly modern or medieval ceramic was found within this packing. It is not clear whether this feature was a wall of a structure or having had some other function.
