Condition Fragment is worn, encrusted, and friable.
Description A fragment of plaster preserving one large reed impression on one side and four on the opposite face. The face with one reed impression is concave in the center and becomes amorphous projections towards the edges. The reed impression is max. pres. length of 0.07317m, width of 0.01759m, and depth of 0.00865m. The opposite face is projecting upward and preserves four different reed impressions which are not parallel or otherwise aligned to one another. The longest reed impression on this face extends the max. pres. length of the fragment at that point, 0.07089m; it is 0.00844m in width and a max. pres. depth of 0.01041m. Moving toward the apex of this face of the fragment, the next reed impression can be found. It is max. pres. length of 0.03418m, 0.01234m in width, and max. pres. depth of 0.00332m. The directionality of this reed impression is a bit difficult to decipher, but it is roughly perpendicular to the longest reed impression (already described). The next reed impression as one moves across this face of the plaster is more impressed than the one on the apex. It is a max. pres. length of 0.05126m, width of 0.01870m, and max. pres. depth of 0.01218m. The last reed impression on this face is at the edge of the fragment and projects towards the immediately previously described impression at approximately at 20 degree angle. It is a max. pres. length of 0.04485m, max. pres. width of 0.2190m, and depth of 0.00421m. As with the opposite side, this face also has irregular, amorphous edges.
