Artifacts Collected SURFACE COLLECTION CONSISTS OF 8 POT SHERDS - PLAIN SURFACE FINISH - SAND TEMPERED; 1 FRAGMENT OF FIRED CLAY; FRAGMENT OF A DEER BONE WHICH APPEARS TO HAVE BEEN BUTCHERED; 1 PARTIALLY WORKED FRAGMENT OF LIMESTONE WAS FOUND SOME 6 INCHES BELOW THE SURFACE, APPROXIMATELY 15 FEET SOUTH OF THE AREA WHERE THE SURFACE COLLECTION WAS MADE IN A DRYER, MORE ELEVATED AREA OF THE FLOODPLAIN.
