Description This sandstone column, at this writing, stands straight and vertical at a 4.75 m in height. Two courses of upper drums were removed during excavation for their future replacement. There was a 0.15 m earth accumulation between these drums. With the removal of these drums the in situ plaster bonding was found in fine condition along with large amounts of wood and the remains of metal fittings. Each of the eight remaining drum components was also found to be well bonded and required little reconstruction. Some of the fittings were drawn to scale, and samples of the wood were collected for analysis. Another aspect of interest is that this column still had its white ribbed cable designed plaster adhering to its surface, which masks the irregularity of the height of its drums. The bottom drum is 0.69 m in height, the remaining drums, respectively, measured 0.50 m, 0.52 m, 0.54 m, 0.57 m, 0.52 m, and 0.30 m in height.
