Description | Thick fragment of relief-decorated handle preserves smooth, round, domed finial top; on exterior of handle is a high relief of female figure, done in varying heights. Head is oval with facial features indicated by grooves; flatter against handle is the body, straight, thin and tubular with arms bent in at elbows and hands holding something which extend as raised ridges out around edge of handle at level of eyes. Other portion of handle preserves flat, thin, rectangular relief-decorated top surface consisting of voluute-like sections extending to edge. |
