Stage Description Intercolumnar walls built as well as the platform above the Central Arch.
Description This wall is preserved to 23 courses in height. It is 2.59 m in width and is constructed of small to medium sandstone ashlars with diagonal dressing. At a height of courses, 905.578 m, there is a window feature, measuring 1.22 m in width and preserved to a height of 1.35 m in the West and 1.40 m in the East. The window extends back the full thickness of the intercolumnar wall and appears to be a part of the wall’s original construction—perhaps intended to serve as a niche for an arch springer or other roofing element.
