Description A fragment of terracotta frieze plaque bearing the horse race iconography. Along the finished edge are preserved four divisions of the cavetto. The fragment is perpendicularly broken through the cavetto down to the thinner decorated face; one of these breaks preserves a partial nail hole. Near the same break edge, the cavetto is slightly indented on two of its elements--but this is possibly a byproduct of the way it was produced in the mold. Below the cavetto register are four dentils, one of which is partly worn away. Below the register of dentils the portion of one rider is preserved, including the head, torso, and garment flowing behind. Below the rider is a corner of two break edges. The undecorated face is well finished with a small indentation (0.02269m in length and 0.00790m).
