Description Locus 3 is a one meter by three meter extension off the main trench from the southern wall. Locus 3 is a dark brown humus layer with organic material including leaves, grass, and roots. It is also intermixed with terracotta and a small amount of small stones. Only approximately 1.5 meters of the western portion of the extension was excavated. Within 5 centimeters of dropping Locus 3 soil, flaking bed rock cropped up in the center portion of the excavated portion of the locus and excavation of Locus 3 was discontinued.
