Earth Remarks Excavated with L 21; seen only in balk; varying colors throughout from 2.5YR 8/1 (white) to 5YR 4/6 (yellowish red) with most around 5YR 6/6 (reddish yellow); seems to have been laid atop L 22 to level it for Wall 6, but interseasonal debris obscured the relationship; sherds from a smashed pithos extruded from the balk
