Stage Description Construction of entryway between the settling tank and Residential Quarter.

Description This locus comprises of the steps leading from the north end into the trench. They are smooth-topped sandstone blocks with a dressed north face. They descend 0.58 m from the level of Loci 12 and 17 to the street level. There are four steps, which descend 0.17 m, 0.17 m, 0.18 m, and 0.16 m respectively from south to north (any discrepancy between the heights of the steps and the total drop is explained by the acute angles of the steps). The steps measure 0.31 m, 0.31 m, 0.31 m, and 0.28 m in length respectively, measured north-south (again, any discrepancy is due to the angle of the steps). They are set into a white cement.
Bonds to None.
Preserved Height 0.58 m.
