Description | Bucchero bean plate fragment, preserving section of rim with a whole bean and part of body; the "bean" has two long ears to either side at the top. The rim has a raised ridge along the interior edge; the turn of the rim begins approximately 0.010 m higher than the flat body of the plate. The body is decorated along its middle break with two parallel, horizontal incised curving lines which would have circled the interior center; partially preserved below the interior-most circle is a fraction of a circle of vertical, parallel incised lines. |
