Description A fine impasto vessel foot in the shape of a lion or feline paw. Fragment has a flat finished base from which the paw projects upward and inward towards the presumable vessel body at an approximately 60 degree angle. Above the flat platform, which is 0.00317m in height, are four toes, illustrated by four roughly circular elements which are attached to four other roughly circular elements by elements which are concave in profile. The height from the lower circular element to the higher circular element is 0.01157m. The toes are different width, with what is presumably the outside toe being the narrowest at 0.00179m in width; the middle two are 0.00412m in width; the final inside toe is 0.00242m in width. The divisions from the toes continue to move up the fragment into the break edge. The interior face of the foot is finished with rounded edges as it goes around towards the exterior face.
