Description It was decided upon to do a sounding on the northern 2 meters of the trench [2m X 4m]. This is the area directly beneath Locus 5 and will now be designated as Locus 8. The soil is a yellowish brown color. As this is a sounding, being done with large pick and shoval, sieving will not be done with the excavated material. As the excavation progressed downward, no new features were discovered, nor were many pottery or tile fragments found. No bone or bronze pieces recovered at all. In total, only 6 pieces of pottery and approximately 1/10 bowl of tile was recovered.
