Description A fragment of terracotta frieze plaque preserving the horse race motif. On the decorated face, along the longer finished edge there is a register of guilloche pattern preserved except for a max. pres. width 0.05356m concave break which extends to a height of 0.04071m from the finished edge. Above this register of guilloche are portions of a horse and rider. The horse's front legs, torso, and part of its neck are preserved. The rider on the back is preserved to the height of their arms/the horse's reins. Beneath the rider's foot and 0.06368m above the longer finished edge is a nail hole with an oblong shape, max. pres. length of 0.00756m. The shorter finished edge, which is perpendicular to the first described, is relatively well preserved. Elements of the preserved design and the two perpendicular finished edges demonstrate that this is the lower right corner of this plaque. The face opposite the decorated face is rough and unfinished with one shallowly concave break around the nail hole, max. pres. width of 0.04920m.
