Updated Description
  • A supplementary fragment was found in a higher locus. 14 July 2022 - T101 (KD VII) Supplemental Find 11 E169-172/S40-42 28.18-28.28mAE Locus 1 pg. 98 (pg. range 87-98) Additionally, several more supplementary fragments were found (see linked supplementary photo).
  • In 2023, a terracotta drain pipe section, almost full profile, was consolidated from 87 fragments total into its former top and bottom half (top and bottom as oriented in the ground). The bottom half is preserved better than the top--which was more fragmentary, chipped, and abraided--and which is missing some portions of the full length. The interior of the bottom half preserves near its max. diam. end at least one hand print made during the production of the element (max. pres. length 0.13399m, max. pres. width 0.10919m). The edges at both the max. and min. pres. diam. are rounded on the exterior and preserve mold marks on the interior in some places. Exterior surfaces are pitted and encrusted (the top half again more so). Halves placed together for photography and measurements.
