Project name Phase I Archaeological Survey of ca. 180 Acres at Mississinewa Lake, Wabash County, Indiana.
Surface exploration methods Site was identified during a surface walkover with a crew of 6. The crew was spaced approximately 5-10 meters apart. This distance was reduced to 1-2 meter spacing when site was found. Pin flags were used to mark the cultural material and to define the site boundaries. Additionally, shovel testing was used in areas where low visibility occurred (i.e., woods).
